god on immigration ...

... last night i read a forum on cbn.com ...
i never thought of the immigration issue in context of my spiritual walk ...
i never got past the BLATENT RACISM and FEAR MONGERING
that the legislation is based on ... i guess i didn't need god's help on it ...
the human part of me just crept out and took over.

if you think GOD cares about an arbitrary line in the dirt drawn by men with their pens that signed treaties that have never been honored ... you need to get back to the basics of christianity ...

none of this belongs to anyone, we are all guests on this planet ...
we immigrated to earth the day god gave us life ...
our brothers and sisters from another 'nation state' are no less our brothers or sisters and no less entitled or unentitled to come and go anywhere on the planet as you and or i am ...

unless of course, you consider how we don't like to let sovereign nations handle their own business and use force to exert our will over theirs ... but i digress ...

so ... go and twist your scriptures to mold to whatever position you choose to take on the subject ...

looking at it from god's eyes, i suppose its just human folly ... some thing to distract us from our purpose ... to love one another ....
