you know, i was looking at the yahoo! headlines and just about made myself depressed. mr. bush just cannot help himself and those in bed with him, well, they are just praying for a miracle that more people than not will continue to believe the web of delusion and lies that they have been propagating that is so far from the truth, its hard not to see it.

anyway, then i went to turn off the t.v. my daughter was watching and before i did, i flipped the channels and happened to catch the black eyed peas on SNL ... my hope was restored and my faith renewed ...

a word to the 'christian coalition'

who actively supported and empowered our current legislative, executive and judicial branches of political offices ...

are you looking at the fruit that the trees that have been planted and watered in washington are bearing?

is that the fruit you thought it would bear?

how far away from your beliefs and values and the teachings of jesus have we moved?

anyway ... there's a new election coming up ...

remember what we were taught: "i give you NOT A SPIRIT OF FEAR, but one of LOVE and of SOUND MIND."

use your mind, rekindle the love ... if they use the words of fear and separation, you know that it not sourced from god, but a tool of those that would lead you further astray.

listen, feel what is right, and vote for the light, forgiveness, compassion, justice, giving, kindness -- do not vote for fear, violence, oppression and separation.

and i would encourage you to KNOW your candidates ... don't just vote ... this link is a link of political people who are pedohiles or otherwise oppress women and children ... this list happens to be all republican, but we know better. the republicans do not have a corner on the pedophile markets -- men, particularly those in power, have issues with the abuse, sexual or otherwise, of others. women, in power too, have issues, although generally, not as askew as their male counterparts.

as "republican" and "christian" are two labels i ascribe to, this list is shameful to both. today, i am just a human child of god.

changing titles and finding the true story ...

kudos to yahoo! news which quicker than i could post this on blogger, changed the title of this story from "kin say gunman didn't molest them" to

"amish prepare to bury shooting victims"

AND(!) they moved the portion of the report that the girls who roberts claimed to have molested claim that it never happened ... from the top of the story to the bottom! thank you yahoo! news.

i was still going to share the story, that was just a bonus ... but the REAL news is the grace and love with which these american christians are choosing ...

quite a different response than what the 'christians' did at columbine ... where they removed two of the 15 crosses that had been placed to mark the tragedy, as the two children who perpetrated the crime should not be included in the memorialization of the tragedy. it is tragic when children die ... it is tragic when children kill.

i thank our neighbors in pennsylvania for showing us some light today.
